Living plant walls (vertical gardens) continue in the news these days. These living walls are in the trendy Bardessono Hotel in the Napa Valley, California.
The star shaped plants are a species of Bromeliads called Tillandsias. They are epiphytic plants that typically grow high up in tropical rainforest trees. Although they use very little water, they do require high light.
It is problematical that these plants will have a sustainable long life in this hotel environment. What will be unseen is their regular replacement. Unless you have adequate light or a replacement budget, I would not advise doing this at home.
This one looks like it belongs to the tag Oulu Bar Projects.
