This Garden Tower is an interesting variant of an African sack garden and the aeroponics towers (a form of hydroponics) installed on the roof of the Bell, Book and Candle restaurant here in New York. The same system is installed at the O’Hare Urban Garden in Chicago.
Regarding the name Garden Tower, it seems to me that there is potential for confusion in the marketplace about several products using the words tower and garden in their product name.
Though it may be descriptive, in my view there is a need for more creative branding. Here are the results of a Google search on the words garden tower.
In any case, I believe the vertical tower form has great potential for further development as an affordable consumer urban gardening product.
Note that the Garden Tower folks are launching a Kickstarter fundraising project on April 17. I will follow their progress with great interest. Stay tuned.
