I scratch my head and wonder about teaching city kids to use shovels, hoes and rakes to grow food when the time could be better spent learning STEM subjects. It seems a naive dream that they will own land and become farmers. With this kind of a horticultural skill set they will be qualified only for low paid menial jobs and even these are fast disappearing.
