AeroGrow, the makers of the AeroGarden are now offering a sub-irrigated planter (SIP) they call the patio planter.
Instead of a fill tube, it has a bottom fill port which also acts as the overflow drain hole. This is the same design as the "self-watering" planters made by Misco and sold by Walmart. I wonder if Misco makes this planter. I prefer a fill tube design.
