Has anyone made sub-irrigated planters (SIPs) from Centrex Plastics tote boxes?
If you have, share your experience with all of us. Note that there is one positive review on the Lowe's website.

There's no recycle code indicator on the totes, so I emailed Centrex.
They confirmed that the totes I bought (black and come in a 3-pack for ~$16 from Lowes; item 175947) are made of Polypropylene (recycle code 5), which is one of the 'good' plastics to use for these boxes.
I put together 2 sub-irrigation planters this weekend with these Centrex totes and they worked just fine.
