There's no recycle code indicator on the totes, so I emailed Centrex.

They confirmed that the totes I bought (black and come in a 3-pack for ~$16 from Lowes; item 175947) are made of Polypropylene (recycle code 5), which is one of the 'good' plastics to use for these boxes.

I put together 2 sub-irrigation planters this weekend with these Centrex totes and they worked just fine.
