A Very Small Sign of Progress

This announcement about a free "alternative gardening" workshop about earth boxes (EarthBoxes?) and self-watering containers caught my eye. Or was it an April Fool's Day joke?

KINGMAN - An alternative gardening workshop is Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the University of Arizona Mohave County Cooperative Extension, 101 E. Beale St.
Learn about earth boxes, raised beds, hay bale gardening, garbage bag gardening, self-watering containers and more.
This free workshop is sponsored by the extension and Kingman Area Master Gardeners.

It was not reassuring to find no information about self-watering (sub-irrigation) container gardening on the University of Arizona websites, including the extension program.
