This is the last paragraph in a recent Tom Friedman column. It's a good message for the gardening pundits who fail to understand that most of us now live in cities with limited access to turned earth.
Sub-irrigated grow boxes, beds and buckets can produce fresh food anywhere there is enough sunlight and warm weather.
