A green market was part of the recent Green Brooklyn event. I've been eating these heirloom tomatoes in salads for the past several days. Delicious is an understatement. My guess is that only a small percent of our urban population has ever tasted tomatoes like these.
The knowledge of how to grow tomatoes and other vegetables of all kinds without access to turned earth should be available to Brooklynites and city dwellers everywhere. Currently it isn't. One of my goals is to help change that.
We need a demonstration rooftop edible garden available for public education here in the city. Are you interested? UrbanGreenscaper[AT]gmail.com
