
The peppers are starting to turn red and will be easier to see in future photos. There are also bell peppers turning red but not visible. I'll let them all fully mature and turn red before picking.
There are very large size versions of these photos on Flickr. Just click on the picture and select "All Sizes" on the Flickr menu over the photo and then "Original" for the largest size.
I planted these more for testing purposes rather than pepper production. The output is more than satisfactory considering they are growing in only a half day of full sun. This is an east facing exposure.
The small planting area (about 3' x 3') is a powerful demonstration of how city dwellers with limited space can grow fresh produce using affordable sub-irrigated planters.
All we need is better public education. It is woefully lacking at the present time.

set of photos of Public Farm 1 at P.S. 1. It is my professional opinion that this farm would have been far more productive if the planters were sub-irrigated rather than drip irrigated.
