Art and Heidi are Bruce's neighbors in Wicker Park, Chicago. They are also rooftop vegetable growers. They chose, however, to use the sub-irrigated bucket planter method. You can see that Art, like Bruce, is also a very handy guy. Let's call both of them "green collar" men. Buckets or boxes, the result is the same and that's fresh produce in your hands right from the vine. You can see more of their photos on Flickr.
We need to get Art, Heidi and Bruce on a tour bus and send them across the country on a rooftop garden concert tour. Maybe we can get Willie Nelson's bus, or John Madden's. Are you out there?
